Las Vegas RV Rentals

Nevada is home to the Pony Express, cowboys, pioneers, and, of course, Las Vegas. Perhaps the easiest way to see all of Nevada that interests you is to rent an RV and tour the state how, when, and wherever you like.

The most frequently rented RV is the class-C motor home. It’s easy to drive and has many of the comforts of home — beds, a toilet, shower, heat and air-conditioning, a refrigerator and a microwave. Some even come with a TV and a DVD player. Other popular options include a truck trailer, folding camp trailer, or travel trailer.

Las Vegas is an easy city to start your adventure because there are many RV rental agencies. The Las Vegas RV rental off-season is between the start of November and the end of March. This is when you’ll get the cheapest rental prices, with prices starting around $65 a day for 40 days for a simple RV. The longer you rent an RV, the cheaper the price. Prices are the highest between the end of June and the start of September. The cheapest day rate available is probably $117 for 40 days.

The Story Of Porsche Automobiles

The story of Porsche could begin in 1950 with the introduction of the Porsche 356 to the United States by Max Hoffman. It could begin in 1948, when the first auto bearing the name of Porsche came out. However, to get a real grip on the heritage of Porsche, you must go back as far as 1875. In September of that year, Ferdinand Porsche was born in the Bohemian village of Haffersdorf.

Ferdinand Porsche showed indications of his technical genius at the age of 18 when he wired the family home for electricity. His only formal education was received when he was a part-time engineering student in Vienna, although the title ‘Doctor’ is often appended to his name. By the time he was 25, Porsche had gone into automotive design. The Viennese firm of Loyner & Co accepted his first car design. Over the next twenty years, he successfully associated himself with every major car manufacturer in Germany, and he designed about a dozen of the most technically important automobiles in history at the same time.

Civilian And Government Auto Auctions – Basic Terms Used At Auctions

Buying at a civilian or government auto auction can be a great way to buy a quality used car or other asset. Like most things, though, information is key. Below are some frequently used terms that you will find helpful if you are interested in buying a car at auction.

* Off-lease: Refers to vehicles returned to a leasing company at the end of a lease term. Closed auctions are usually the only place for leasing companies to get rid of their large volumes of end-of-lease returned cars. The terms of a lease normally put a restriction on the number of miles driven and require regular maintenance so they can be good bets. Usually, off-lease vehicles are returned within 2-3 years, and often have some portion of their factory warranty remaining.

* Off-rental: Refers to the flood of late-model cars that are replaced (generally once a year) by major car rental companies. Like leasing companies, rental companies also generally rely on auto auctions to sell off their used inventory. Although these vehicles are generally well maintained and driven for only one year, mileage can accumulate quickly on a rental car. In addition, optional features on rental cars are generally limited to an air conditioner & automatic transmission. Usage of rental cars can be rough (think about the last time you rented a car!) so it is safe to assume that each rental car will be driven by a wide range of drivers in a variety of driving conditions.
